Lift Me Up - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

The the theme for this hop is focused around the Lift Me Up series including the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies. Out there in the internet websphere this set is very popular and I can understand why! It's a very versatile bundle loaded with great sentiments and can be used for both masculine and feminine cards, including baby cards, graduations, thank yous, birthdays and more. 

I wanted to focus on the hot air balloons in the stamp set because they are so sweet and I cut the pieces out from the 'Congratulations' sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set. The background is watercoloured onto Shimmery White cardstock, which I find really nice for watercolouring. I wanted the balloons to seem as if they were floating off the page, so I stamped the top and background piece together before mounting the top piece onto the extra layer. I'm quite happy with this sweet card!

Be Inspired Blog Hop

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. We have a mixture of amazingly talented Stampin' Up! papercrafters from around the world and every two weeks we will showcase our work with the intention for you to 'Be Inspired' and I have no doubt the team will do just that!

The theme for this hop is 'Cupcakes and Carousels'. It's only the theme name and we don't have to use products from that particular product suite, however I have been wanting to use this sweet horse from the Carousel Birthday because I know little girl who just loves horses.

Also from the Cupcakes & Carousels product suite on page 9 of the Occasions Catalogue is the beautiful Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the fun and bright Bermuda Bay star piece to make it seem like this horse is part of a fancy circus show or dressage exhibition. It's hard to capture in the photo but I also used the Wink of Stella to give it some glimmer. I know the little girl getting this card will be in love with it!

Next up for you to 'Be Inspired' by is my beautiful, loving and brilliant friend Brian King from the US. I've always loved Brian's style and I know you are going to love his card this week.

Global Design Project - Colour Challenge

This week over at the Global Design Project we have a bright and happy colour challenge. How can these colours not make you feel happy?  Someone else who always makes me feel happy is my best friend, Kabrina, who really is the best friend ever because he bought me tickets to see Adele (the singer) with her next month and I'm super excited! (Well - not just because of that, it's many, many, many things that make her amazing - but the Adele tickets sealed the deal! LOL) 

As you know, I love Project Life for quick and simple cards. I used the new Celebrate Everyday Project Life Card Collection from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue and it just so happens to have all the colours I needed for this challenge. I incorporated two stamps from the Suits Sentiments stamp set to achieve the 'best friend ever' sentiment - cute huh?!
