Mojo Monday - My Reasons To Smile!

23 June 2012

 Mojo Monday 246

This weeks Mojo Monday has been made for a lovely friend who I have met through Stampin' Up! We stayed together in Canberra and I had so much fun and we laughed bascially the whole time!

I used the Reason to Smile stamp set as I thought it was appropriate because I spent the whole time smiling!

This is Narelle Macey & I..

Mojo Sketch:

My Mojo:

I just had to use the seam binding ribbon that Marlene Goulder used in her beautiful card this week, but don't think my bow is as good! Isn't she clever! I do love this ribbon.

Stamp Sets: Reason To Smile, Thank you Kindly
Accessories: Seam Binding Ribbon, Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pen, Water Colour Paper,
Embossing Folder: Square Lattice
Colour Combination: Very Vanilla, Rose Red

On another note - I had hot pink gerberas in my bridesmaid bouquets and these reminded me of gerberas, so they just 'had' to be pink! ;)

The other lady I stayed with was Michelle Lennon - I don't have a photo of us together - but I know there's one floating around somewhere - it wasn't taken on my camera. Michelle & Narelle basically 'mothered' me at my first ever convention, making sure I was up and out of bed and at all the required seminars! Thanks girls!

I made this one for Michelle and also used this in a workshop recently...everyone loved it and have since sold a few of these stamp sets! It is a pretty set.

Reason to Smile Set - Available during June.
Spend $125 and receive set for FREE or availale for purchase during June.
Wood Mount: $35.95 or Clear Mount: $28.95

Mojo Monday 245 - Sneak Peek!

14 June 2012

Monday Mojo is a card challenge I am enjoying at the moment and I am always amazed at all
the lovely enteries and get loads of inspiration from them.

I wanted to keep this weeks card simple. Simple?...hahaha....since when do I do anything simple!? Well, I tried, really I did! I had so many different things out and also wanted to give a little sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be available in the new catalogue. There's a few new yummies coming out, but this really is just a sneak peek ladies! :)

So the simple part is the background colour pallet - very vanilla. I just wanted a soft background. I also wanted a bit of a vintage feel - not sure if I like the splotches in the corners, but you can decide?!

Here is this weeks Mojo Sketch:

This is my (not so simple) take on this weeks Mojo:

The sneak peek is the number stamp set and the round swirly stamp in the background.

Sneak Peak Stamp Sets: Memorable Moments, Daydream Medallions
Stamp Set: French Foliage
Accessories: Crochet Lace Ribbon, Pearls, Sponge Dauber, Big Shot
Embossing Folders: Elegants Lines, Vintage Wallpaper
Colour Combination: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party

Note: The new catalogue has butterflies in it to die for! I used a retired butterfly that is similar, but it is going to be a 'must have' stamp set - trust me!

Thanks for stopping by.

Monday Mojo 244 - So Grateful

05 June 2012

Monday Mojo 244

As you might all know by now - Mojo Moday is a card challenge I am (attempting) to participate in every week.....unfortunately sometimes life just gets in the way! (Or a Stampin' Up! Convention - insert smiley face!)

This card was also made with all the amazing ladies in mind that I had the oppotunity to meet over the weekend at the Stampin' Up! Convention. I am so grateful. Thank you girls ...you know who you are!

I only just missed the last Mojo, but wanted to get this one done before I venture off again on a another trip away! I don't actually go away all that often, but this month seems to have me away from my craft room a lot!

Enough chitter-chatter...this weeks Mojo Sketch Below:

 This is my Mojo:

Inside:

Stamp Set: Apothecary Art from the new Mini Catalogue
Accessories: Framelits from the Mini Catalogue, Stampin' Markers, Pearls, Crochet Ribbon, Seam Binding Ribbon, White Twine, DPS Twitterpatted Paper
Colour Combination: Whisper White, Blushing Bride

With the ribbon at the top - I learnt a little tip from Beth Stewart at the Convention. The idea is to use bits of scrap ribbon together to create a bit of what I would probably call a shabby chic look - I think it's actually quite effective and you might see me using this idea a little bit! Thanks Beth!

Thanks for stopping by - Love your comments!

Case Card Challenge 93

Each month the team at the Case Study Challenge blog pick a 'Muse' - or a Guest Designer to design a card to get inspiration from. For the month of May the Muse is Agnieszka Malyszek. This is her last challenge card this month and I am really glad I had time to put something together!

This is Aga's card...

Here is my Case:

This card is a very easy card and not my 'usual' simple - leave lots of white space card - but I quite like it and the card layout.

Enjoy
