Who else is getting excited for Christmas? In Australia at the moment we are enjoying the beginning of Spring which means the weather it's is warming up, the birds are singing, the skies are blue, flowers are starting to bloom and I know this means Christmas is just around the corner! I ALWAYS tell myself I will be ready for Christmas early....and without fail I'm never ready, so this year I have resigned myself to the reality that I will do the best I can and it's ok if I'm not completely ready...the world will continue to spin, right?!

Today's card is quick, simple, doesn't use a lot of supplies and perfect for making a lot of Christmas cards. Let the beautiful wreath from Feeling of Christmas stamp set from page 16 of the Holiday Catalogue do all the work!

Next up to 'Be Inspired' by is my talented and fabulous friend Brian King from the the US, he loves the new In Colors and his project is gorgeous....

Painted Harvest - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

15 September 2017

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my lovely friend Kimberly Van Diepen from the US.

Today the Artisan Design Team are highlighting the new Painted Harvest stamp set from page 49 of the Occasions Catalogue. There's so many gorgeous cards and projects which have already been created with this lovely set and it has definitely been a popular set and it's easy to see why!
I decided to make the flowers look more like gerbera flowers using Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and added even more colour with the Classic Weave Ribbon in Soft Sky. I made this card for my dear friend Denita who recently helped me out as my craft retreat and who is also just a really cool chic and I'm thankful for her friendship.

Next on the hop is my talented friend Maike Ulbrich from Germany.

Be Inspired Design Team Hop

07 September 2017

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my beautiful friend Sarah Berry from the UK. If you are starting here please make sure you hit the next button at the bottom of this post and hop all the way around.

The theme for this hop is 'Be Inspired by Food'. Who else is hungry? I'm ALWAYS inspired by food!

In the Annual Catalogue there's a stamp set called Bike Ride and in it is the sweetest little picnic basket and little apples that nest perfectly in the basket. In the new Holiday Catalogue there's some paper called Quilted Christmas and I personally think paired with the apple basket it makes the cutest little country themed note card - if I do say so myself - and I'm hoping you agree?! ;)

On Wednesday afternoons here in lovely seaside Kiama there's a Farmer's Market and a man who sells THE yummiest apples. He comes from a place called Orange (a gorgeous county town located central west about 5hrs north west from Kiama) and he has a chant - "Apples from Orange - fill'em till' ya spill'em" said in a true-blue Aussie 'blokey' way (I'm hoping that makes sense to my overseas blog visitors?!) and he makes going to the Farmer's Market even more fun! This card reminds me of those apples and I think I may even give him this card next Wednesday when I'm getting my apples!

Next up to 'Be Inspired' by is my talented and fabulous friend Brian King from the the US, who I have no doubt serve up a tasty treat for us!

Global Design Project - Theme Challenge

04 September 2017

The theme for the Global Design Project this week is perfect for me because yesterday was Father's Day here in Australia! My husband celebrated the day by going to Emily's soccer game early (no sleep in for poor dad) followed by brunch at his favourite cafe in town.

The new Merry Cafe stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue adorable and so versatile (paired beautifully with the Coffee Cafe set and Coffee Cups Framelits from the Annual Catalogue - I love how Stampin' Up!coordinates - just sayin'!) and was perfect for my coffee inspired card today. The sentiment 'you fill me with happiness' is from the Jar of Love stamp set and I personally think it also coordinates with the coffee cup - don't you think?! (I am always going to assume you agree with me - lol!)

I made this card for my darling husband, Daniel, who truly does fill me with so much happiness. We are lucky enough to an awesome cafe up the street from us called Brooding Italian and one of my favourite things to do every weekend is walk up with Daniel and get a coffee.....and generally breakfast too! He's an amazing husband, but an even more amazing Dad - Happy Father's Day honey.

Now head over to the Global Design Project and see what the amazing Design Team have in store for you this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Merry Patterns - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

01 September 2017

Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my amazingly talented friend Kimberly Van Diepen from the US - isn't her project simply gorgeous?! At the bottom of the page please hit the next button to move around and see all the beautiful projects.

MERRY PATTERNS HOST PROMOTION
Between the 1st September and 31st October Stampin' Up! have a fabulous host promotion. If you host a workshop or spend $450AUD (before shipping and handling) you will qualify and earn this stamp set for free!

The Artisan Design Team have created so many gorgeous projects using this new set and I know you will want to get your hands it after seeing them all! When I was creating this card I was wondering if Australia had much of a deer population - it's not something we are 'known' for down under (unlike the kangaroo) - however driving up a mountain range last week my son spotted one and apparently deer enjoy this area as much as we do - who knew?! (clearly not me - lol!!)

It really seems crazy that it's September and the first day of Spring here in Australia. Creating for Christmas doesn't seem right, but it really is just around the corner - *sigh* - at least the best part is the NEW Holiday Catalogue is live to customers and it's packed with so many new holiday goodies!

Next on the hop is my lovely friend and talented papercrafter, Maike Ulbrich from Germany. I love this girl and she has a way of making things so dreamy, click the next button below:
