INKspired Blog Hop - You're Sublime

28 June 2015

INKspired Blog Hop & Sentimental Sunday

Welcome to another INKspired Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from my bestfriend Kabrina, I love her creation this week.

Our blog hop is held every other Sunday and is always sketch inspiration created by Teneale. I decided to change the circle and used Deco Label Framelits instead this week as I think it really suited the stamp set I used.

Sentimental Sunday is something I created for my blog and it's the day of the week I like to recognise someone special in my life. When the new stamp set You're Sublime was introduced into the new Annual Catalogue, the super cute caravan immediately reminded me of my sister-in-law, Alice.

Firstly, it's a bit retro and it symbolises simplicity. I know that may sound really bad, but Alice really does enjoy the simple things in life. Another reasons include, my brother and Alice travelled around Europe in a campervan and they both still enjoy camping. They also both now live in a caravan park on the south coast of NSW, however not in a caravan! In a beautiful apartment in a gorgeous holiday park because my brother is the manager. But Alice is always saying "I just live in a caravan park!"

I am also going to admit that I have never given Alice a card!!! Judge me, that's totally fine, in fact you should. It's terrible! I have actually made cards to give to her before, but then they have for some reason just never made it into her hands!

Next on the hop is Maree and I'm sure you will just love her card this week.

I love this cute little stamp set. I watercoloured the caravan using watercolor paper and Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen.

This is my gorgeous sister-in-law Alice. Apart from being an awesome mum, wife, friend and sister-in-law, Alice runs in triathlons and is about to run a half marathon next week! I love this photo of her taken after competing in one of her first triathlons. You're amazing Alice and we love you.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share a little piece of my life with you.
Tons of love,

Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation Hawaii Blog Hop

25 June 2015

Welcome to our third Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop.

The theme for this hop is Perfect Pairs ie. Something old (carried over) with something new.
The brief is to create a project that combines something from the last catalogue with something
from the new annual catalogue.

I have decided to pair Butterfly Basics, which was also featured in the last Occasions catalogue with the new English Garden Designer Series Paper from the new Annual Catalogue and I personally think that they are in fact 'perfectly paired' and compliment each other.....well, perfectly!

I also used the new stamp set Cottage Greetings on page 94 and thought that the Happy Birthday 'paired perfectly' with the butterflies and the English Garden Designer Paper.

Want to know another new favourite? If you think it's the Stitched Satin Ribbon in Melon Mambo, then you have got it in one! Yep, that's my new favourite ribbon. LOVE this ribbon and there's no doubt you will see more of it on future projects.

Now onto the next person....be sure to click the person located after me on the link list.

WE LOVE COMMENTS!
Please comment when you're clicking through the list, we all enjoy getting a bit of love on our blogs and it lets us know you've stopped and been inspired.

INKspired Blog Hop & Sentimental Sunday - An Open Heart

14 June 2015

Welcome to our 18th INKspired Team Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from super talented friend Lissa.

Sentimental Sunday is something I created for my blog last week and it's the day of the week I recognise someone special in my life. Early this week when I was making the card for today's post, I opened up my new English Garden Designer Series Paper and it reminded me of my sweet friend Michelle and her beautiful rose garden. The stamp set I used also reminds me of Michelle, not only because of the cute little birdy, but also the name of the stamp set, An Open Heart, because Michelle not only has an open heart, but the warmest, most generous soul and I am so blessed to be able to call her my friend.

Every week Teneale designs a sketch to get our inspiration from. Here is this weeks sketch:

Some photo's from Michelle's amazing garden
Michelle and I at her high-tea birthday last year:

Thank you for letting me share a little piece of me with you today and thank you Michelle for our friendship. Be sure to drop in next Sunday for another Sentimental Sunday.

Next on the hop is Maree with her beautiful creation this week.

Thanks for hopping by,

Just Add Ink - Floral Wings

12 June 2015

 Just Add Ink 266
"Louise, what is Just Add Ink?"
For those of you who may be new to my blog, I am a Design Team Member over at the Just Add Ink Challenge. What is Just Add Ink? A place where you can get inspiration and also play along to the weekly challenges. You can link via your blog, Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr or even email us your creation and we will add it to the challenge entries....why not play along sometime?

This week the challenge is a colour challenge created by Kim.

I couldn't go past using the new hostess stamp set Floral Wings for this challenge and fussy cutting out the little roses and giving them dimension by raising them. For the gold scallop along the bottom I used Gold Glimmer Paper and the largest scalloped square from the Square Framelits.

Be sure to go and check out all the other Design Team Members this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

2015-2016 Annual Catalogue - You've Got This!

02 June 2015

SHOP ONLINE:
To view all the new catalogue yummies head over to my online shop:

One of my new favourite stamp sets is 'You've Got This' on page 113.

I was really inspired by a card that my beautiful German friend Steffi Nitzpon did using this stamp set. I am not sure if I did it the same justice that Steffi did, but I'm still happy with the result.

I used the Stampin' Write Markers and colored onto Watercolor Paper. I put some colour onto clear window sheeting and picked up the colour with a Blender Pen. You can also pick up the colour by pressing ink into the lid of your ink pad. Make sure you blend and give your flower a lot of light and shade by not colouring the whole petal.

Stampin' Write Markers and/or Ink Pads to use:
Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Delightful Dijon.

*Note and insert eye roll at myself! Silly, silly me didn't use Delightful Dijon...but it's going to work best.

I have also done a video to show how I have watercolored the flower.
