Global Design Project - CASE-ing Bibi Cameron

21 December 2015

Where have I been? If you are a regular blog follower - firstly, thank you! - you will know that my poor blog has been mistreated and I also missed last weeks Global Design Project, to which I am truly sorry. Hhhooowwwwevvverrrr, exciting new things are happening in the Sharp household! To find out more you will need to scroll to the bottom.

First up, this week over at the Global Design Project we have 'CASE the Designer" and the Design Team are so excited to be CASE-ing Bibi Cameron this week. Here is her creation:
Here is my simple take on Bibi's creation. I really wanted a waterwash ombre effect, of course I just had to go with pink!

Make sure you head over and see our amazing Design Team and their fabulous creations this week over at the Global Design Project.

Now moving on to my news:
In a nutshell, we have sold our air-conditioning business that we have run successfully for 13 years, we have sold our beautiful home and we are moving 2 hours south of Sydney, to a gorgeous little seaside town called Kiama. None of which was on the cards about 2 months ago! This has all happened so quickly, I have hardly had time to come up for air. The sale of our home only went through today and now we have to find a new home and have 6 weeks to pack - what a whirlwind to say the least! It's all really positive and we can't wait to move and get settled, however, I am sad to be moving away from my friends, my Stampin' Up! team and customers.  I am so grateful for all the friendships I have made and people who have shaped our lives while we have been living here, even though I know we are only 2 hours away, I have really enjoyed my life in this area.

So with this, I may be a little more absent over the next couple of weeks as we get through Christmas, the New Year and packing up our home. I promise I am still around and I will do my best to share our adventures with you all.

Thanks for stopping by,

Occasions Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

03 December 2015

**SNEAK PEEK ALERT**
Welcome to a very special blog hop, dedicated to the upcoming Occasions Catalogue, where we are showcasing just a small taste of new products to you. You may have just hopped here from Jenni Pauli, I just adore her!

OH-MY-GOLLY-GOSH! I know, I know, I do this every time.....gush and drool over every upcoming catalogue. BUT, you just have to see it for yourself to know where I am coming from! At each and every turn of the page there is something new and exciting. I have no doubt you are going to LOVE the Occasions Catalogue launching on the 5th January 2016.

My card was inspired and also derived from a gorgeous card I received from Mary Fish recently. You can see it here. It's so pretty and feminine, I was so delighted when it arrived....ok, yes I was more than delighted...I jumped around the office in pure joy, announcing it to everyone like it was a letter from the queen! LOL. The card stayed in tact, however I carefully deconstructed and 'upcycled' the envelope liner and used the gorgeous new Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.

I have used some AD-ORRR-ABLE new pieces from the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit (I hope you're taking notes) and the sentiment is made up of stamps from the new Bloomin' Love stamp set.

I am not going to take up anymore of your time, it's now time to move onto the super talented and awe-inspiring Sam Donald, aka Pootles - love her!

Be sure not to miss out on any projects! If you get off track at any time, there is a list below of all our amazing blog hop talent.

2.   Kylie Bertucci
3.  Brian King
4.  Jenni Pauli
5.  Louise Sharp
6.  Sam Donald
11. Erica Cerwin

Thanks for 'hopping' by!

Global Design Project - Colour Challenge

30 November 2015

It's Monday again, which means another Global Design Project challenge is live. Now Monday's are one of my favorite days of the week!

We have a colour challenge this week, and even though the colour combination really does lend itself to possibly be a more festive type project, I really wanted to use my new flower stamp set....*insert SNEAK PEAK from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure - how exciting!

I decided to stay with a clean, simple and layered look, which really is my style. I stamped the flowers with the Archival Black Ink Pad and roughly watercolored the flowers using an Aqua Painter. The bottom row of green polka dots is from the Season of Cheer Designer Washi Tape and I'm really happy with the end result.

You will be so thrilled with the new products available in January 2016 Sale-a-Brations brochure, there's so many amazing things. I hope I've inspired you to need this stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by,

INKspired Blog Hop

29 November 2015

Love is in the air!
Before we begin....I am BURSTING at the seams to share some exciting news! If you follow my blog or know me even remotely, you have heard of my friend Mehgan, from Arizona. Well....MEHGAN JUST GOT ENGAGED!! I am so thrilled and couldn't be more happier for both her and her partner, George. Congratulations my beautiful friends.

Now that I have shared my news,  I can welcome you to our 30th INKspired Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from my other bestfriend Kabrina. Every second Sunday we have a blog hop and the amazing Teneale creates our sketches for us. I really enjoy sketch challenges because they make me think outside the square, so to speak!

Here is this weeks sketch:

I just HAD to create a card for Mehgan. So....here's the thing....I knew that her partner, George, was going to propose during Thanksgiving...but what if he didn't have the ring? Or what if, heaven forbid, Mehgan said 'no'!!!! Then what? Well...I created a 'love' card, just to cover myself! Thank goodness it all went to plan.

A little Sneak Peak - "OoooOOooo" I hear you say! I have used new goodies from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue. Notice the heart paper and the banner. You are going to swoon over everything, promise!

\

Thanks for hopping by again this week and sharing in my exciting news about Mehgan. Next on the hop Barbara and you will just adore her project this week!

Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop

26 November 2015

Hello and welcome to our Grand Vacation Blog Hop for November. This blog hop is to celebrate those who have earned the Mediterranean Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation this year and also showcase our creations with you and share our love of Stampin' Up!.

The theme for this blog hop is 'Seeing 3D' and thought I would share my table favours that will be giving to all my team girls on our last team night of the year, being held next week....yikes....I might be in trouble for not keeping them secret!

Pink - Bling - Glitter - Christmas - Chocolate
What's not to love??

My Stampin' Up! team name is 'Tickled pINK', so it's only appropriate that I have a pink poinsettia flower and not a red one. I also added glitter to the edges by running the Two-way Glue Pen along the edges and dipping them into Dazzling Diamonds. I have tried to capture it in the photos, but sometimes photos just don't do the justice our creations deserve! These little gifts are just divine...if I do say so myself! ;)

You can view and purchase any of the items I have used for this project below from my online shop by clicking any of the pictures.

I hope you enjoyed my special little treat bags today, thanks for stopping by.  Moving onto the next person on the list, remembering you are at LOUISE SHARP, please click the person after me on the list.

Global Design Project - CASEing Brian King!

23 November 2015

#GDP012

This week the challenge over at the Global Design Project is 'CASE the Designer'.

Far Out!!! *insert clammy hands, sweat beads, heart racing - enter craftroom*
Does anyone else ever feel this way? Did you all feel this way when you CASE'ed my card a little while back? Oh my, the anxiety of CASE-ing one of my favourite people in the world, Brian King.

I'm not kidding, it was tough. But there is three things (and many more) I know about my close friend Brian: 1. He likes layers 2. He likes clean and 3. I know he thinks this little penguin from the Snow Place set is adorable!

So I set to task to give his gorgeous penguin card the justice it truly deserves. And I will say I am happy with it too. Isn't this little guy just dapper?

I really enjoyed making this card. The best part about creating something for someone, is that you think of that person the whole time you're making it. Not only was I CASE-ing my friend Brian, I was also making this card for him too! He has been such a huge support not only to the Global Design Project, but also with his friendship and I am so blessed to call him my friend.

The best part about this stamp set is that not only is the set just too cute, but it comes with matching Framelits, so no fussy cutting! Yay.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my Global Design Project creation this week. Be sure to go and admire our amazing Design Team and also play along with us this week too!

Global Design Project - Christmas Tree

16 November 2015

This week over at the Global Design Project our challenge is a Theme challenge and one of my favourite things to celebrate, Christmas. I know you will LOVE all the project the Design Team have created, you will be blown away and so inspired to get Christmas crafting.

I decided I would share my handmade Burlap Ribbon Christmas Tree, finished off with Gold Glimmer 3D star. I made it using a foam cone purchased from Spotlight and used pins to secure the looped ribbon pieces. I will say it was a labour of love, however I am loving the results as it sits in elegantly on my coffee table.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my Global Design Project creation this week. Be sure to go and admire our amazing Design Team and also play along with us this week too!

INKspired Blog Hop - Timeless Love

15 November 2015

Hello!! I am excited today. A few reasons.

1. It's our 29th INKspired Blog Hop, you may have just hopped here from my bestfriend Kabrina, she amazes me every week her creations. Please make sure you let her know how fabulous she is!

2. My super beautiful cousin (in-law...well, she's still mine, even if she is related to my husband) is celebrating her birthday today and even though I'm not with her, she knows how much I love her and how grateful I am she is on our lives. Happy Birthday Karen, hope you managed a sleep in and are being suitably spoilt.

3. Today is Sunday in Australia and I am currently in Melbourne, having tea and toast with my beautiful team. Yesterday was the latest Stampin' Up! event called Onstage Local. We had a WOW of a time! Lots of screaming and squealing and by WOW...I mean we really couldn't stop saying WOW, WOW, WOW!! I can't wait to until I can share all the new upcoming goodies that are soon to be released. Stay tuned. You will be WOW'ed too!

Here is our latest sketch created by Teneale, and I will say that I did struggle at first until I remembered my Stampin' friend Jessica Williams say 'Timeless Love' is her favoutite stamp set, so I decided to dig it out and see what I could come up with!

I will return in a couple days to show you pictures from Onstage Local in Melbourne and the fun we had! Moving onto another one of my favourite crafters, Barbara. I know you won't be disappointed with her beautiful card this week, make sure you let her know how amazing she is.

Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop

29 October 2015

Hello and welcome to our Grand Vacation Blog Hop for October. This blog hop is to celebrate those who have earned the Mediterranean Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation this year and also showcase our creations with you and share our love of Stampin' Up!.

The theme for this blog hop is 'Inspired By Project Life'

I will tell you that I have been trying to get started with 'memory keeping' with Project Life, however I simply haven't managed to get my act together! I promise I will and I also promise that I will let you know when I do. I actually purchased the beautiful Moments Like These Card Collection and Accessory Kit to finally get started - and you guessed it - I have not even touched ONE photo!! So, here is a really quick and easy card using one of the gorgeous gold foil speciality cards.

Apart from LOVING the gold foil on this card I also really like the sentiment too. This will be a special card for our daughter, who will be finishing primary school at the end of the year *insert sigh* and moving into high school next year - I am struggling to even write those words without feeling faint-hearted! I'm sure if you're a Mumma and have been through this stage you can relate....and possibly give me some advice?!  LOL
