Global Design Project - RAK Challenge

26 September 2016

Happy Monday! Currently my children are on school holidays for two weeks and we spent today down at the beach and went for gelato - who said Monday's were a drag?!

Another great thing about Monday is that we have the Global Design Project! This week we have a theme challenge, "RAK" which stands for Random Acts of Kindness. This could be something you are sending to someone to say thank you or that you are thinking of them.

Who is my RAK card for?  Well, card is to thank a special someone who actually showed a 'Random Act of Kindness' to me quite a few months ago and I am yet to formally thank them!

My upline Teneale Williams, sent me her bag from the last Stampin' Up! Onstage event, with a beautiful card, It even came wrapped in pink polka-dot paper! Even though Teneale was congratulating me on earning the Mediterranean Trip, it was still a thoughtful random act of kindness that I am grateful for. I travelled with this bag all over Europe and loved it!  Thank you Teneale.

Now it's time to jump over to the Global Design Project and see all the wonderful projects and Random Acts of Kindness the Design Team have happening this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Global Design Project Sketch

19 September 2016

#GDP054
Has it really been 54 weeks of Global Design Project? My goodness!! I really do love creating for the GDP and every week the Design Team, and also those who play along offer so much inspiration.

This week we have a sketch challenge designed by Teneale Williams.
Here is my card:

KISL - Keep it simple Louise! (I totally stole this from my friend Brian King, who says KISB.)
I too need to remind myself that it is ok to KIS and let the beautiful papers from Stampin' Up! do the hard work. My friend Brian is the 'King' (all pun intended) at showcasing the Designer Series Papers and has a talent and either making the papers a showpiece or a blending into the background.
These papers are from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper pack and has fun and bright patterns. I really like the fun flowery pattern in this set.

Festive Birthday
Me = Grateful

Now head to the Global Design Project and see the creations from our amazing Design Team, you won't be disappointed!

Welcome to The Team INKspired Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from Maree McIntosh. After visiting me, please make sure you hop all the way around by hitting the next button at the bottom of the page.

We have sketch challenge every two weeks and I unfortunately missed the last one. Two weeks seem to come around quickly!

Here is this weeks sketch:

I changed the side of the banners and to be on the left and used the super adorable Bow Paper Clip Embellishments to hold the sentiment in place.
These quick and easy note cards are made using the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and the sentiment is from Grateful Bunch.

Colour Challenge - Global Design Project

12 September 2016

This week at the Global Design Challenge we have a colour challenge. Gold, Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder.

Colour Challenges. Please tell me other papercrafters somewhere out there that struggle at these?! This week I stared at the colours and pulled out stamps sets, cardstock, ink pads and ribbons until an idea finally popped into my head! I remembered seeing a beautiful watermelon and navy styled wedding on Pinterest (the best place for inspiration) and I was ready to get creating. Once I get an idea, I'm in the 'zone', busy in my own world of crafting!

The flowers and the gold leaves are from the Jar of Love stamp set. I love this set because it's so versatile and pretty. I decided to add some gold thread to add a little elegance and fill out some of the white space. I really like the the 'Wedding Wishes' sentiment from because of the font and simplicity.

I'm sure you will now pop on over to the Global Design Project and be inspired by our amazingly talented Design Team.

Made with Love - Global Design Project

05 September 2016

#GDP052
Another Monday rolls around, which means another Global Design Project challenge to sink your teeth eyes into! This week we have CASE the Designer challenge and it's the amazingly talented Teneale Williams. I'm sure you would all agree that Teneale is stamping royalty in the world of papercraft and to CASE one of her projects is a little daunting to say the least!

The definition of CASE: Copy And Share Everything
OR as my good friend Kylie puts it - Copy And Selectively Edit!

Put simply, we get our inspiration from a particular project or creation. For this challenge we can use ANY element. You might be inspired by the colours, the stamp set or the card layout. However you are inspired, why not play along this week?

Here is Teneale's card we are CASE-ing this week:
How does one simply 'CASE' Teneale Williams?
Many of the GDP Design Members went with Teneale's card layout this week and even though I love it, I really need a baby card for a sweet little girl who was welcomed into the world last week for some friends. I also knew I just HAD to have a bow and it had to be amazing. Teneale is the bow master - this girl - seriously - is there nothing she is bad at?!

You might be wondering where the cute little spotty paper is from? Well, as you may know, I love my Project Life and this one from the Hello Baby Girl Card Collection. I stamped the onesie from the Made with Love stamp set onto the paper and cut it out using the matching Baby's First Framelits.
Now head on over to the Global Design Project and see the beautiful projects the Design Team have in store for you this week!

Would you like to see my new craft room? I call it the 'craft nook'!
I know it's been a few months since we moved in and I have been crafting, however I have only really been 'officially' set up for a couple of weeks. Thanks to my beautiful Mum and husband who helped me get it all sorted and organised. Now I have no excuses! I did a Facebook Live video of it this morning, you can see it >HERE<  - Lou xo
