Be Inspired Blog Hop

27 April 2017

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my beautiful friend Sarah Berry from the UK. If you are starting here please make sure you hit the next button at the bottom of this post and hop all the way around.

The theme for this hop is 'Your Favourite Season'. In Australia we are in Autumn and it's starting to get cooler. I could have done an Autumn card, but then I wouldn't be sharing my favourite season would I?! Because I love Summer. I love the long days and the warmth of the sun - and everyone seems to be in a better mood in Summer - actually that could just be me!! LOL

RETIRING PRODUCT ALERT!
Everything on this card is retiring and you need to get in quick to get your hands on them! I have had so much fun with the Day at the Beach stamp set and every card I have seen using this set makes me feel happy. The Designer Series Paper Stacks are also going and sadly so is the Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine. Add these to your shopping cart as product is only available while stocks last!

Next up for you to 'Be Inspired' by is my handsome, talented papercrafter, fabulous singer, amazing friend and all round awesome guy, Brian King from the US. (Does he ever read these?! LOL)

If you live in Australia I would love to be your demonstrator! You can click on any of the items below and purchase them from my online shop: APRIL HOSTESS CODE: 3TX9Q6WA.

Global Design Project - CASEing Michelle Last

24 April 2017

#GDP084
I love it when we get to CASE team designers on the Global Design Project for 'CASE the Designer' challenge. This week we are getting our inspiration from my beautiful and talented friend Michelle Last from the UK. Also...just incase you didn't know already...Michelle was awarded #3 in the Stampin' Up! Top 100 last November. What an amazing achievement, congratulations Michelle!

The definition of CASE: Copy And Share Everything
Put simply, we get our inspiration from a particular project or creation. For this challenge we can use ANY element. You might be inspired by the colours, the stamp set or the card layout.

I took my inspiration this week from Michelle's pretty card layout and also incorporated an embossed background and square in the corner - I am hoping you can see this in the picture, as it washed out a little with the lighting when I took the photo. I will admit this card is sweeter in 'real' life!
SNEAK PEEK ALERT! This sweet little girl is from a new stamp set being released in the new upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue called Birthday Delivery. I was intending to colour her pink (of course) however my thought was the flowers may have become lost. I decided to put the flowers upside down because I really love this sweet girl in her pretty blue dress with the buttons down the back.

Now head over to the Global Design Project and see what the amazing Design Team have in store for you this week.

1. Register: If you live in Australia you can register >HERE< for a copy of the catalogue. They will be sent mid-May 2017.  *Please do not register if you a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Autism Awareness Blog Hop

22 April 2017

Welcome to the Autism Awareness Blog Hop. The hop is all about Autism awareness and it’s filled with projects using one or more of the Autism colours - red, yellow and blue....I also added green because it was in the top header and also went with my project! At the bottom of the page please go the person after me on the list.

Each member of the hop is sharing a fact or statistic about Autism. Here’s mine:
Did you know? Many children with autism have a reduced sensitivity to pain but may be extra sensitive to sound, touch, or other sensory stimulation, which may contribute to a reluctance to being cuddled or hugged.

Autism is something close to my heart and I know, from my own experience, about sensory stimulation and the link with foods - the taste, textures and even the temperature. Iceblocks, icy poles or whatever you choose to call them can be one of those foods that can cause a problem or even help with creating calm with a child. Hence my project for the hop today:
We would really love if you could donate, even a small amount to the Stamp with Love Fundraising Page by clicking HERE.  All money donated will go towards research and awareness.

Next up on the hop is my lovely and talented friend Candy Rattray from Texas, USA. Please make sure you hop all the down the list and I'm sure we have all raised awareness in the best creative way we can! A huge thank you to Lee Conrey for organising the hop - you rock!!

Be Inspired Blog Hop

13 April 2017

Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. We have a mixture of amazingly talented Stampin' Up! papercrafters from around the world and every two weeks we will showcase our work with the intention for you to 'Be Inspired' and I have no doubt the team will do just that!

You may have just arrived here from my beautiful friend Nadine Hößrich from the Germany. If you are starting here please make sure you hit the next button at the bottom of this post and hop all the way around.

The theme for this hop is 'Party Animals'. It's only the theme name and we don't have to use products from that particular product suite. I went a little more literal with the 'party animal' theme - aka party puppy! This little puppy from the Little Cuties stamp set on page 17 of the Occasions Catalogue is so stinkin' cute and one of my friends little girls just loves dogs - I know she is going to love this card. Even both my kids love this card!
When I was creating this card I was deciding on the layout and if I cut out the image onto a Stitched Framelit (because I love those) and thought of adding all sorts of papers with it and embellishments ( really got myself into a fluster) and after deep deliberation I really thought this little party puppy just needed the page to himself....and a balloon! Cute huh?!

To colour him I used a Blender Pen and picked up the ink from the lids of Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I used a line of Pear Pizzaz for the grass and outlined the little guy lightly with Pool Party.

Next up for you to 'Be Inspired' by is my super talented, intelligent, good looking and ever so sweet friend Brian King from the US. ( I wonder if he read all that!? lol)

Thanks for hopping by,
