INKspired Blog Hop | Painted Petals

22 February 2015

Welcome to our INKspired Team Blog Hop. You may have just hopped here from my friend Lissa.
Teneale Williams creates our sketch challenges and this week I just had to use my new stamp set, Painted Petals.

Next on our blog hop is my awesome, creative friend Marlene with a nautical theme on this week sketch.

To me, (and I am sure many others) Stampin' Up! is so much more than stamps, ink, cardstock and pretty papers. It's like being a part of a worldwide family. I have been blessed to meet so many amazing, inspiring, truly beautiful people through this, what some would call crazy hobby! There's two I would like to thank this week.

Firstly, thank you to my dear friend Denita who lent me a punch recently when I was hours away from home at a class! And for always welcoming me with the warmest hugs. xo

And also, to my friend across the miles, Michelle Last, who sent me the most divine, pretty bracelets and the best English Breakfast Tea a girl could wish for! The photo doesn't do them justice on how pretty they are. Thank you Michelle, I absolutely LOVE them.

Thanks for hopping by,

The challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is a picture inspiration and I absolutely love it. Pink, polka dots, love hearts...doesn't it make you feel all warm and gooey?

We are celebrating lots of birthdays in our family this month and this one has been made for my beautiful, caring and gorgeous niece, Erin, who always makes everyone feel special and loved.

I used the new Celebrate Today balloon stamp set from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Make sure you pop over and see all the other Design Team Members. You'll be blown away, trust me, I'm not just giving you hot air! (Ok, bad Dad puns...in this case it's Husband puns, I can't take the credit!)

Add a Pit It Hover Button | Cute Hearts in Stampin' Colours

07 February 2015

How to Add a Hover Pin It Button to your blog in Blogger.

Geeky Stuff....I've thought for a long time about sharing not only my creative side, but also the little bits of geeky/techie stuff I've learnt along the way too.

First up, putting a pretty 'Pin It' button on your images.
I created these cute little hearts in Stampin' Up! colours a while ago for Pinterest and thought why not share not them to those who enjoy blogging!'

1. Go to Templates > Edit HTML

2. Locate the
near the bottom of your template

3. Copy the code below and paste it ABOVE the
tag

4. Return back here and right click on the image Pin It button you would like and copy the URL.

5. Replace the RED with the copied URL.

6. To reposition where you would like your pin it hover button located on your image change the GREEN word to either
topleft
topright
bottomleft
bottomright

{This is from Blogger Sentral. If you are having troubles coping the code please visit their site and grab the code.}

I have also created a video on how to add your custom pin-it button, or if you have a pin-it button already, you may like to change it to these cute hearts! :)

Removing the Pit-It Button on an Image
Sometimes you may want to remove the pin-it button from an certain images in your blog post.
Here's how you do it.

1. Go to HTML when editing your blog post.

2. Find the last word you used before the image you want the pin removed by pressing Ctrl F

3. Put this code in directly ABOVE your image.

Happy Pinning!

Note: I'm not a whiz at everything, if you are having problems you may need to investigate further with other websites or YouTube.

Just Add Ink - Pleasant Poppies

02 February 2015

Over at Just Add Ink this week there is a colour challenge. What is it with colour combo challenges that I struggle with?

I had just about every stamp set out, all the colour papers and ink pads out and just sat, staring for about half an hour before my husband came in and asked what I was doing?! "I'm stuck, I have no creative Mojo in me at all and I'm much better with sketch challenges" I said. So, in all his wisdom and because he has to fix everything, he created a sketch. "There. Now get creating!" he said. The first one threw me, but the second one I could definitely work with!

This card was also created with a very special person in mind, my sweet friend Narelle. Narelle and I are on the same Stampin Up team, under Teneale Williams and after hitting it off at our first team meeting a few years ago we have formed a very close relationship....in fact in this house we call her Narelle BFF! Happy Birthday my gorgeous friend, you are beautiful inside and out.

This is us on the tram in Melbourne last year.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out all the other Design Team Members amazing creations.
