Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection

I totally ADORE the new Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Set. I have made quite a few cards from it in the recent past and it is probably safe to say that I will continue to make more!

In an attempt to blog more of my creations for my loyal followers (no promises peeps, I said 'attempt') I thought I would share some cards I whipped up recently with this gorgeous card collection and the sentiment of the new Paisley & Posies stamp set. 

I was inspired by the Fab Friday sketch this week, here's the sketch:

While I had everything out (neatly arranged on my craft desk *not!*) I created a few more cards inspired by the same sketch also using the Hello Lovely Card Collection. This set was so quick and simple. A little bit of fussy cutting and trimming, a bit of linen thread, a quick stamp and some glue and you're done!

Global Design Project - Colour Challenge

Colour challenges are not my strong point. This week at the Global Design Project we have a colour challenge and it really was a challenge! 

I am really loving the soft flowers from the Touches of Texture stamp set and decided to keep it clean and simple, making the flowers the hero of this project!

CASEing Bibi Cameron - Global Design Project

I love it when we get to CASE team designers on the Global Design Project for 'CASE the Designer' challenge. This week we are getting our inspiration from the amazingly talented and super sweet Bibi Cameron from the UK.

The definition of CASE: Copy And Share Everything
Put simply, we get our inspiration from a particular project or creation. For this challenge we can use ANY element. You might be inspired by the colours, the stamp set or the card layout. However you are inspired, why not play along this week?

I love Bibi's creative style, eye to detail and love of colour. I decided use the flower pot from the same stamp set, Sitting Here and also the same colour base in Flirty Flamingo. I also added the little banner to the top left with some twine like Bibi did in her original project. 

I wanted to match the background somehow with the little banner, so watercoloured the diamond patterned paper from the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper and really happy with the end result.

INKspired Blog Hop #42

Every two weeks we have a sketch challenge and enjoy sharing our team creations with you. We only have a small hop this week as some members are away due to school holidays.

Here is this weeks sketch:

I am sure my fellow card makers can agree that sympathy cards are sometimes not easy to make for a loved one or special friend. However, I am hoping that giving a handmade card made with love and from the heart offers some small amount of comfort. Thinking of my dear friend Karen today who sadly lost her Dad a few days ago. Hugs to you beautiful friend. 

I used Touches of Texture stamp set , stamped into Watercolor Paper and watercolored the flowers and leaves with a Blender Pen. I then used the 2'' Circle Punch and selectively cut out the image. I cut an extra flower and adhered it with Multipurpose Glue. 

Next on the hop is the lovely and talented Barbara Williams.

World Card Making Day

HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!! Yes, I'm pretty excited about it. Although, is it really the 1st October? The year seems to be going by so quickly!

Today I wanted to make a thank you card for a special friend who gave me this Angel as a gift. It was given to me from a mother of one of my daughter's friends and it really made me feel special. 

If you know me at all, you will know how much I LOVE the Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection Pack. I have used it a few times! It has so many beautiful cards in it that can make quick projects and I searched for a pretty paper to use as the backdrop of this card and finally turned to the Project Life pack. I softened it with some vellum because I wanted the sentiment and the little flowers to pop a bit more.
