Global Design Project #017 Colour Challenge | Number of years

05 January 2016

It is so great to be back after a few weeks off! I hope that you had a wonderful time with your friends and family and got to enjoy a well deserved break. Now it is an exciting time to look forward to a new year with excitement and I am sure plenty of challenges.

Here is our challenge this week over at the Global Design Project Challenge blog.

I am getting ahead and thought I would preplan - we always need cards ready to go for our special friends and celebrations and the Number of Years stamp set is one of those ones that you might look over.

These gorgeous flowers were perfect for this colour challenge - I used my Stampin Markers and kept the card clean and simple. I adore the white on white layers.

Things are still very busy in the Sharp household - packing and moving, which is exciting but lots of work! I am exhausted. It will be wonderful when it is all accomplished though right?

Thanks so much for coming by today. Please make sure you go and see our other designers work over at the Global Design Project for this colour challenge. Ps I know you know - but I love hearing from you!

Global Design Project - CASE-ing Bibi Cameron

21 December 2015

Where have I been? If you are a regular blog follower - firstly, thank you! - you will know that my poor blog has been mistreated and I also missed last weeks Global Design Project, to which I am truly sorry. Hhhooowwwwevvverrrr, exciting new things are happening in the Sharp household! To find out more you will need to scroll to the bottom.

First up, this week over at the Global Design Project we have 'CASE the Designer" and the Design Team are so excited to be CASE-ing Bibi Cameron this week. Here is her creation:
Here is my simple take on Bibi's creation. I really wanted a waterwash ombre effect, of course I just had to go with pink!

Make sure you head over and see our amazing Design Team and their fabulous creations this week over at the Global Design Project.

Now moving on to my news:
In a nutshell, we have sold our air-conditioning business that we have run successfully for 13 years, we have sold our beautiful home and we are moving 2 hours south of Sydney, to a gorgeous little seaside town called Kiama. None of which was on the cards about 2 months ago! This has all happened so quickly, I have hardly had time to come up for air. The sale of our home only went through today and now we have to find a new home and have 6 weeks to pack - what a whirlwind to say the least! It's all really positive and we can't wait to move and get settled, however, I am sad to be moving away from my friends, my Stampin' Up! team and customers.  I am so grateful for all the friendships I have made and people who have shaped our lives while we have been living here, even though I know we are only 2 hours away, I have really enjoyed my life in this area.

So with this, I may be a little more absent over the next couple of weeks as we get through Christmas, the New Year and packing up our home. I promise I am still around and I will do my best to share our adventures with you all.

Thanks for stopping by,

Occasions Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop

03 December 2015

**SNEAK PEEK ALERT**
Welcome to a very special blog hop, dedicated to the upcoming Occasions Catalogue, where we are showcasing just a small taste of new products to you. You may have just hopped here from Jenni Pauli, I just adore her!

OH-MY-GOLLY-GOSH! I know, I know, I do this every time.....gush and drool over every upcoming catalogue. BUT, you just have to see it for yourself to know where I am coming from! At each and every turn of the page there is something new and exciting. I have no doubt you are going to LOVE the Occasions Catalogue launching on the 5th January 2016.

My card was inspired and also derived from a gorgeous card I received from Mary Fish recently. You can see it here. It's so pretty and feminine, I was so delighted when it arrived....ok, yes I was more than delighted...I jumped around the office in pure joy, announcing it to everyone like it was a letter from the queen! LOL. The card stayed in tact, however I carefully deconstructed and 'upcycled' the envelope liner and used the gorgeous new Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.

I have used some AD-ORRR-ABLE new pieces from the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit (I hope you're taking notes) and the sentiment is made up of stamps from the new Bloomin' Love stamp set.

I am not going to take up anymore of your time, it's now time to move onto the super talented and awe-inspiring Sam Donald, aka Pootles - love her!

Be sure not to miss out on any projects! If you get off track at any time, there is a list below of all our amazing blog hop talent.

2.   Kylie Bertucci
3.  Brian King
4.  Jenni Pauli
5.  Louise Sharp
6.  Sam Donald

Thanks for 'hopping' by!

Global Design Project - Colour Challenge

30 November 2015

It's Monday again, which means another Global Design Project challenge is live. Now Monday's are one of my favorite days of the week!

We have a colour challenge this week, and even though the colour combination really does lend itself to possibly be a more festive type project, I really wanted to use my new flower stamp set....*insert SNEAK PEAK from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure - how exciting!

I decided to stay with a clean, simple and layered look, which really is my style. I stamped the flowers with the Archival Black Ink Pad and roughly watercolored the flowers using an Aqua Painter. The bottom row of green polka dots is from the Season of Cheer Designer Washi Tape and I'm really happy with the end result.

You will be so thrilled with the new products available in January 2016 Sale-a-Brations brochure, there's so many amazing things. I hope I've inspired you to need this stamp set!
