Global Design Project - Colour Challenge

30 March 2016

The challenge over at the Global Design Project this week is a colour challenge....and OH MY, what a challenge it was! If you are a regular visitor of my blog you may know that colour challenges are not my favourite and seem to struggle every time. And this time was no different. However, after playing around with the combination I discovered these colours are lots of fun!
I used the new Numbers of Year stamp set and framelits from page 11 of the Occasions Catalogue and the 'happy' from the Hello Life stamp set in the Annual Catalogue on page 131.

Be sure to visit and even play along to the Global Design Project this week, these colours are really fun!

Global Design Project - Theme Challenge

14 March 2016

#GDP027
The theme over at the Global Design Project this week is 'Thank you' and I truly have so many people to thank after the exhausting and huge effort it was to help us move recently.

Friends. They make you smile, they make you laugh, they pick you up when you're feeling down and they also make you dinners when you first move into town. (Poet and I didn't know it! lol)

I have had the opportunity to make so many amazing friends through Stampin' Up! and when making the decision to move and consequently leaving so many of my Stampin' family, to say it was tough would be an understatement. The first couple of weeks were the hardest emotionally and I am so thankful to Karen Wilson and Denita Wright for coming over with beautifully cooked dinners for my family in the first weeks we were here and also extremely grateful for their friendship.

Sweet, simple note card. The size of these cards might be a bit deceiving by the photo, however they are only 9x13cm and fit into note card size envelope. Perfect for a quick note to say thanks.

Make sure you go and see all the beautiful 'thank you' creations over at the Global Design Project this week. I am blown away with the Design Team each and every week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Global Design Project #017 Colour Challenge | Number of years

05 January 2016

It is so great to be back after a few weeks off! I hope that you had a wonderful time with your friends and family and got to enjoy a well deserved break. Now it is an exciting time to look forward to a new year with excitement and I am sure plenty of challenges.

Here is our challenge this week over at the Global Design Project Challenge blog.

I am getting ahead and thought I would preplan - we always need cards ready to go for our special friends and celebrations and the Number of Years stamp set is one of those ones that you might look over.

These gorgeous flowers were perfect for this colour challenge - I used my Stampin Markers and kept the card clean and simple. I adore the white on white layers.

Things are still very busy in the Sharp household - packing and moving, which is exciting but lots of work! I am exhausted. It will be wonderful when it is all accomplished though right?

Thanks so much for coming by today. Please make sure you go and see our other designers work over at the Global Design Project for this colour challenge. Ps I know you know - but I love hearing from you!

Global Design Project - CASE-ing Bibi Cameron

21 December 2015

Where have I been? If you are a regular blog follower - firstly, thank you! - you will know that my poor blog has been mistreated and I also missed last weeks Global Design Project, to which I am truly sorry. Hhhooowwwwevvverrrr, exciting new things are happening in the Sharp household! To find out more you will need to scroll to the bottom.

First up, this week over at the Global Design Project we have 'CASE the Designer" and the Design Team are so excited to be CASE-ing Bibi Cameron this week. Here is her creation:
Here is my simple take on Bibi's creation. I really wanted a waterwash ombre effect, of course I just had to go with pink!

Make sure you head over and see our amazing Design Team and their fabulous creations this week over at the Global Design Project.

Now moving on to my news:
In a nutshell, we have sold our air-conditioning business that we have run successfully for 13 years, we have sold our beautiful home and we are moving 2 hours south of Sydney, to a gorgeous little seaside town called Kiama. None of which was on the cards about 2 months ago! This has all happened so quickly, I have hardly had time to come up for air. The sale of our home only went through today and now we have to find a new home and have 6 weeks to pack - what a whirlwind to say the least! It's all really positive and we can't wait to move and get settled, however, I am sad to be moving away from my friends, my Stampin' Up! team and customers.  I am so grateful for all the friendships I have made and people who have shaped our lives while we have been living here, even though I know we are only 2 hours away, I have really enjoyed my life in this area.

So with this, I may be a little more absent over the next couple of weeks as we get through Christmas, the New Year and packing up our home. I promise I am still around and I will do my best to share our adventures with you all.
