Just Add Ink | Celebrate Today

13 February 2015

The challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is a picture inspiration and I absolutely love it. Pink, polka dots, love hearts...doesn't it make you feel all warm and gooey?

We are celebrating lots of birthdays in our family this month and this one has been made for my beautiful, caring and gorgeous niece, Erin, who always makes everyone feel special and loved.

I used the new Celebrate Today balloon stamp set from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Make sure you pop over and see all the other Design Team Members. You'll be blown away, trust me, I'm not just giving you hot air! (Ok, bad Dad puns...in this case it's Husband puns, I can't take the credit!)

Thanks for stopping by,

Just Add Ink - Swallowtail

 Just Add Ink 239

Happy (Belated) Birthday
This time of year brings seems to bring lots of birthdays and if you are a friend or family member you would know that I am terrible at getting birthday cards to people on time - if at all! I KNOW right, that is so bad, I make cards for a living!

So this card is no different, it's late. The lovely recipient of this card has been waiting since September! It's for my husbands Aunty who thankfully knows what I'm like and loves me anyway...well I hope she does!? Maybe I could say that this is really early for next year?

This week over at Just Add Ink, it's a colour challenge.

I decided to use the Swallowtail stamp, I haven't pulled this out in a long time, but I love it in this brown. The background is gold embossed, not sure if shows up very well in the picture, however it looks lovely in 'real life' - you'll just have to trust me!

Be sure to pop over to see all the other talented Design Team Members and we would love it if you also played along....nudge nudge, wink, wink!

Just Add Ink - Four Feathers

Just Add Ink 235
Four Feathers
But two feathers looked better!

The challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is a colour challenge. If you are a regular follower of my blog you would know that colour challenges are not on my favourite list. I just don't know why I get in such a fluster with colour challenges!

I am happy with my result and really enjoyed using my new Four Feathers Stamp Set.

Just Add Ink - Colour Combo

13 December 2013

Just Add Ink 195

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is a colour challenge and even though I wouldn't usually put this colour combination together, I quite like it! That's what I like most about challenges, they make me step out of my comfort zone. You should play along too, it's lots of fun!

 JAI 195 inspiration colours
Kim from our design team came up with this colour combination which was inspired by this image and it reminded me of a pretty garden tea party, so I tried to get some inspiration from the image also.

I love the little scallop bunting and ruffled trim, I had fun making this card. Sometimes though the photo doesn't show all the pretty details, but I did my best and took a close up to show the tiny twinkling details, I hope you can see them?

I also got some inspiration from one of my favourite UK demonstrators, Michelle Last. I have been stalking Michelle's blog for years and was blessed to get the oppotunity to meet her at Grand Vacation this year. She is just the sweetest and I love her work, I am sure you will too!

There seems to be so many birthdays this time of year. Between our daughter and son I think they have been to quite a few this past month! It's a little ironic that I am using the stamp set called 'Remembering Your Birthday', when I seem to have forgotten a few lately! I still very much love you all, please forgive me. (Insert giant hugs here!)

Just Add Ink - Sketch Challenge

Just Add Ink 175

As you may know, I am in Utah enjoying the Stampin Up Grand Vaction!
I am blessed to so many supporters, not only my amazing customers, but my family and friends too.

While I have been away this week, it has been our office girl, Maggie's birthday.
I am a 'pink, frilly, crafty, shabby chic' kinda girl - well Mag's is more of a grunge girl. Her favourite colour is black, but she's still girly. Mag's also loves music. My husband and her talk bands and music all day!

Maggie and I don't have a lot in common, but we do have is our friendship and she has been a huge support to me and I am very grateful.

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is a sketch - I turned it around.
#175 - Sketch

I made the cassette using Stampin Up punches.  I don't know if my kids will even know what a cassette is!

I am loving the new Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. So beautiful.

To get back into the swing of things, I am playing along at my favourite challenge - Just Add Ink.

My card has also been made for a very special friend who loves blue and white, shabby chic and pretty things. Swoon. I'm sure the universe brought us together! Happy Birthday Sue.

Insert:

The top flower has been stamped in Marina Mist and I added extra colour with Stampin' Markers. I also cut it out and raised it a little to give it dimension. Hopefully these images show it a bit better.
