Colour Challenge - Global Design Project

18 July 2016

Welcome to the Global Design Project challenge for another week. We have something exciting starting this week with all upcoming colour challenges. Would you like to be a Guest Designer on the next colour challenge? Ummm, yes, of course you would! Why not show us what you've got this week and you could be selected? It would be such a treat to have you.

I used the Helping Me Grow set, and I don't know what colour these flowers are suppose to be, but for today's card they are pink - uh, sorry, Melon Mambo! I simply coloured with with a Blender Pen by picking up the ink from the Melon Mambo Ink Pad.

Now, you should hopefully know by now what to do.....head on over to the Global Design Project and see what the Design Team has in store for you this week. And why not play along too?!

 Thanks for stopping by,

Before I move on, let me explain!
Late this afternoon Daniel, my darling husband, arrived home work and he asked "so what's up for the GDP the week?" I replied "a colour challenge" and with that, he obligingly asked "what colours?" and I told him "Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo" (I will add that he is an amazing husband and knows all the SU colour chart!) "where's your card?" and I showed him. He gives me a funny look and says "this is Crumb Cake hun" and because I'm always right, he must be colour blind! No, unfortunately he is right! I used Crumb Cake. I was a little upset with myself, so he ventured into the craft room and made me a card. Sweet huh.

Here is his card using the Weather Together stamp set. I now need to add on his request that he his off in 'man-land' working on his latest cafe-racer motorbike project. He makes me laugh!

  2. Beautiful, Louise! Not only does the panel of vellum tone down the zig zag pattern, but it creates a big square of Smoky Slate. Love it! The flowers really pop - this card has great energy.
