Global Design Project - Sketch Challenge

17 October 2016

#GDP058
Time for another Global Design Project Challenge! This week we have a sketch challenge and it was little out of my comfort zone with the lower layer being smaller than the top layer. Arrh, there's that OCD kicking in again!

HOW SUPER ADORABLE IS THE DAY AT THE BEACH STAMP SET?! Yes, I'm yelling that!! I LOVE this set and it's so fun to watercolour. I also love it because it represents Summer, happy and beach fun - and now that the beach is only 400m (metres peeps, not miles) down the road, I think it also suits our new lifestyle. Do you remember the iceblock card from the 'Food' challenge a few weeks back? It's from the same stamp set. You can view it >here<.

Note: I'm truly sorry for my international visitors as the Day at The Beach stamp set is only available in the South Pacific market. Good new for us Down Under though! ;)  Fingers crosses Stampin' Up! carry it over to the annual catalogue next year!

Watercoloring Tips:
  • Either use Watercolor Paper or Shimmery White Cardstock
  • Use a wet Aqua Painter and pick up the ink from the lids of the ink pads and use a tissue to wipe off when using another colour.
  • For a more saturated colour, wait to dry before adding more colour in certain areas.
The sentiment stamp is from Thoughtful Banners on page 73 and I used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to line it all correctly. There's so many great, versatile stamps in the set, so be sure to check it out at my online shop.

Now to head on over the Global Design Project and get your senses ready for some tasty treats this week!
