Just Add Ink - Colour Challenge

18 February 2013

As most of you know, I love playing along with the Just Add Ink design challenges. I always get so much inspiration from everyone who submits their works of art, so pop on over and see all the creations - or even better, play along!

This week is a colour challenge suggested by the amazing Nikki Spencer.

I used to love this colour combination. I still do, but probably more of a pink girl now! Blue and yellow is a real trend in counrty magazines, so went with a country theme. I also have a soft spot for shabby-chic chairs!

To all my friends who support my hopes and dreams - thank you.

Case Study Challenge

31 December 2012

 Case Study Challenge 122

This will be the last blog post for the year. What a year it has been!

I know that most other blog friends are posting cards themed around New Year's,
but today I'm showing a card made for Mum, since I think her birthday card is just as much 'fun' as all the New Year's cards out there!

Ok, so maybe 'fun' might not be the word to describe this card, but when we go to our favourite little tea shop - 'The Berry Teapot Shop' on the NSW southcoast, we have lots of fun! Sipping tea and enjoying delicious scones with jam and cream - sounds like lots of fun to me!

My Mum loves blue and white china, so this card was made just for her....and the Case Study Challenge! (insert grin!)

Happy Birthday Mum - love you to moon and back.

Happy New Year everyone, wishing you a fabulous Stampin' 2013!

Papillon Potpourri Gift Box Set

20 October 2012

I thought I would share a little something I have made using my new Papillon Potpourri Butterfly Stamp Set and Punch. It's such a great set to have in my stamp collection and I think you should have it too! (Insert smirk and wink here!)

There are 8 cards and I used colours from the Stampin' Up! Brights Collection. Really quick and easy to make, but an impressive gift set - don't you think!?

The box was made using the another new product to my collection - The Simply Scored.

Head over to Connie Stewart's Two Tone Box Making to see how I have created this box. I changed the measurements to suit and used a piece of Window Sheet for the lid, because I like the thought of being able to see the card on top.

Stamp Sets: Papillon Popourri, Tea for Two.
Box: Betsy's Blossoms
Accessories: Pearls, 1cm Satin Stitched Ribbon
Tools: Simply Scored, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Modern Label Punch, 4.4cm Circle Punch
